Hidden Valley Drags - Track Champs 2012

Filming season is busy as you would have seen from previous posts, and yet we still manage to fit more TV work in than we had planned to do every year. One of the regulars on HighRPM's to-do list is the Hidden Valley Drags who require a number of different commercials over the year. This one is the 2012 version of their track champs advert that is running currently on the seven network who is their sponsor.

When you see the team trackside a large proportion of the footage they take goes to the motorsports clubs for exactly this type of usage.

HighRPM Babes TEDA Calendar 2012

TEDA Calendar 2012
2012 saw the launch of another TEDA Calendar.  After the popularity of their debut release last year they were keen to emulate the hype again and asked our photographers to help them out again.

This is one of those fun assignments where the HighRPM shutterbugs don't have to do anything but rock up and do what they love doing best, photography.  And with a bevy of beauty available to them in Darwin who would blame them for jumping at the opportunity.

There were a few familiar faces this year and a few new ones too, all keen to help out in what already feels like an annual event although it is only in its second year.

Last years efforts were centred around a track theme, so this year the organisers went indoors with a high key style look.

Kamfari 2012 Photography

Black Jungle explodes once again for Kamfari 2012
Black Jungle was once more the setting for the gruelling Kamfari motorcycle enduro race and this time HighRPM sent Ed Forman down to capture the action.

From past events our camera crews know full well the muddy conditions and its all part fo the fun of getting right into the middle to get the best shots.

With our media team being immersed in TV commerical production at the moment we could only spare a photographer for stills work, but without a doubt Ed has once again brought home the essence of the event.  Check out his samples from the day.

HighRPM 2012 Filming Season

Filming season has started again in earnest for the HighRPM crew in 2012, this time first off the rank is not a feature but a series of four TV commercials commissioned by the top ends peak body for motorsports, Motorsports NT.

The main goal of Motorsports NT was to get a series of adverts with real footage highlighting the excitement and atmosphere of the plethora of events that are run here throughout the year.  This was in preference to staged footage which can look somewhat bare and artificial as was learned from previous ads.

Great news for our team who are used to being in amongst the action at major events.  Shot across a 4 week period and covering many genres of motorsports the team are about to go into the studio to run the final edits.  With well known Darwin radio voice Wayne Cottle coming in to do all four voice overs the ads should have a very familiar feel to anyone who knows motorsports up here in the NT.
